Operator’s Licence
Anyone operating a vehicle or combination exceeding 3500kg for hire & reward including the delivery of their own products, requires an operator’s Licence (exemptions do apply).
The applicant MUST satisfy certain requirements before applying for a Licence.
As a result we provide full packages including FREE consultations to anyone wishing to apply for an Operator Licence.
We can assist with full:

Continuous Compliance Support
Our Continuous Compliance Audit – CCA, is proving vital for our small, medium and large operators. This service ensures TCTS Group Ltd staff arrive at all your operating centres on a monthly, 3 monthly or 6 monthly cycle and take over your transport compliance. Full inspection and examination is conducted on all areas of your operation including:
Transport Manager Performance Review – Random Fleet Inspection – All areas of your Operator Licence Undertaking inspected with full detailed reports issued – Drivers Hours inspection – Maintenance Standard inspection – Staff skills gap analysis detection – Random Yard Check Point (stopping & checking that your drivers have conducted a daily check & are complying with their driver’s hours, load security etc.) in your yard at varied times – Driver Assessments (Road Test) – New driver induction – download all data from driver’s cards and vehicle units, inspect drivers schedules/route planning to ensure compliance and issue any infringement notices to drivers, address any issues with drivers or vehicles and detect any training needs required for all involved in transport.
All CCA’s are bespoke to the individual operator giving you peace of mind and support.

Audit & Assessment
The Transport Regulation Unit, Traffic Commissioners and Enforcement Agencies are required to ensure that all Road Haulage and Passenger Transport Licensed Operators are compliant. One of the main control measures they use is to conduct a Transport Compliance Audit at your Operating Centre. This can be announced or unannounced. TRU and TC’s can also request an independent audit conducted on you following an In-chambers hearing, Public Inquiry or Investigation.
As a result of this we provide Full Independent Onsite Transport Compliance Audits in 3 variations:
Initial – 1st Audit visit – A Transport Officer/Specialist Consulting Officer/Vehicle Examiner will arrive at your Operating Centre and conduct a full Transport Compliance Audit. Your audit report with full summary & recommendations will then be delivered to you and the requesting agency within 3 working days. Our staff will also explain the findings of the audit to you in detail.
Follow up – 2nd Audit visit – A Transport Officer/Specialist Consulting Officer/Vehicle Examiner will arrive at your Operating Centre and conduct a follow up Transport Compliance Audit within 1, 3 or 6 months. All areas of concern and non-compliance will be re-visited to ensure you have addressed the areas with sighted evidence produced to the inspector/auditor.
Your audit report with full summary & recommendations will then be delivered to you and the requesting agency within 3 working days. Our staff will also explain the findings of the audit to you in detail.
Rectification Pack – This service provides full audit support by implementing ALL control measures and systems which will achieve compliance with the audit process. This includes complete inspection & examination of your entire operation, Transport Manager (if required), Vehicle Fleet, Tachograph Systems and staff. Both your 1st and 2nd audit is also included.
